“There’s something for everyone” is a claim thrown around quite a bit in the business world. The Charlotte Rotary Club provides an event that can completely back it up. The club’s Annual Goods and Services Auction, which will take place Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at AL!VE in Charlotte, features hundreds of items ranging from $10 gift certificates to special event packages and everything in between.
Attendees can bid on goods and services either through a silent or live auction or both.
“It’s a great way for individuals to have a fun evening, enjoy food and a wine tasting and support the Charlotte community’s needs,” said Larry Adams, Charlotte Rotary Club President.
The annual event serves as Charlotte Rotary Club’s major fundraiser and will benefit the AL!VE area, Soar. Soar is a recreational and community gathering space at AL!VE, offering both free and fee-based programming to enhance the health and vitality of the community. Soar serves as a multi-purpose gym that not only provides a place for recreational activities, such as basketball, volleyball and classes, but also a place for community events. The gym includes a challenging rock-climbing wall (Ascend), views of a tranquil outdoor garden area (Ponder) and access to indoor/outdoor walking paths (Explore), which makes this area a focal point for all to experience.
A number of local individuals, organizations and businesses have donated goods and services for this year’s event. Cost is $10 per person and tickets are available at the door or from any Charlotte Rotary Member. For more information, call Larry L. Adams at (517) 543-5428. AL!VE is located at 800 W. Lawrence Avenue in Charlotte.
Free childcare will be provided in GROW for children 2 to 12 years old.
