Andromeda Community Theatre will present the hilariously entertaining “Check Please” and “Check Please Take 2” by Jonathan Rand, which have been combined into one fabulous show.

The production’s main characters are just looking for love, or at least pleasant companionship, but in all the wrong places. Check Please follows a series of disastrously bad blind dates. These bad dates include a psychic, your grandma’s bridge partner, a kleptomaniac, and perhaps even a pirate, just to name a few. These dates couldn’t get any worse — or could they?  Could there possibly be a light at the end of the tunnel?

Directed by Patrick Monroe, Check Please/Check Please Take 2 will be performed as a dinner show at the Eaton Area Senior Center on Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21 (Sweetest Day weekend), at 6 p.m. Show tickets include dinner, which will consist of a choice between Champagne Chicken or Roast Beef (choose by ticket) – both are favorites at the Senior Center. Alongside will be served Yukon gold potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls, and dessert. Since this is a dinner show, there will be no tickets sold at the door. All tickets must be purchased by the end of the day on Wednesday, Oct. 18, so plan ahead and pick them up now.

To celebrate Sweetest Day, one lucky patron at each show will win a beautiful rose gold and sterling silver heart pendant necklace, graciously donated by Carl V. Reck Jewelers in Charlotte (retail value over $100).

Tickets for this light-hearted comedy are available online at andromedaplayers.org/tickets, or on Facebook at  facebook.com/AndromedaCommunityTheatre (click the “shop now” button), or by calling (269) 262-1943.
