Why are you running for this position?

To bring fiscal responsibility and common sense back to city council and to make a difference in our community.

What makes you qualified to represent the citizens of Charlotte?

I have lived half of my life in this wonderful city and bring 50 years of life experience to the position.

What are three key concerns facing your district and how can they be addressed?

  1. Current council’s spending habits — hence the comment about common sense and fiscal responsibility.
  2. Overall economic condition of the city — develop plans to bring new residents and new businesses to our city while developing the downtown business district.
  3. Current council’s decisions and processes — Use a common sense approach and sound spending and business practices when operating the city.

How can people learn more about you and your campaign?

Well, as far as the campaign goes, its just my daughter and I. We’ve done a little bit of door-to-door to get my name out to the public, but since I am running unopposed, we haven’t been hitting the pavement too hard. People are welcome to write me with any questions or concerns they have at the city council e-mail address that will be setup after November 3.
