Fall festival time is here and Leslie hosts its special day on Saturday, Sept. 12 in its picturesque rural community, located on route US-127.

The Leslie Area Chamber of Commerce has rallied the community around a day of food, vendors and entertainment. The Chamber was established in 1975. The festival is free to attend, and free parking is available all around the city.

From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Main Street will be host to thousands of locals and visitors, soaking in the end of summer vibes and participating in some of the following: arts and crafts from about 100 vendors showing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., a cornhole tournament with 11 a.m. registration, food trucks, live music, children’s activities, entertainment featuring dancers and cloggers, and offerings including face painting and a foam party.

Main stage entertainments includes Dirty Laundry at 2 p.m., Annebelle Sharp, 6 p.m. and the Cooper Johnson Band at 7 p.m. There will also be movies after dark, food trucks, and area shops and restaurants. The Leslie Historical Society, located at the GAR Hall 107 E Bellevue St., will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday as well.

Leslie is one of Michigan’s communities that features a Social District, since 2022, similar to Charlotte, Mason and Marshall. Open drinking, with restrictions, is allowed throughout the designated area.
