Patricia Lee Flower

Patricia Lee Flower, age 88, of Springport, passed away on December 25, 2019, after a long-term illness. Patricia was born on October 1, 1931, to Gladwin and Marjorie Clark in Ohio. Patricia worked in the retail and food service trade before working in senior living care. She finally transitioned to childcare as a house mother at the VFW National Home for Children for many years until her retirement. Patricia was a cub scout troop leader and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved gardening, was an avid knitter and did fantastic crochet work.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Gladwin Paul Everest and Marjorie N. Clark; children: Mike G. (Hilary) Flower and Pat A. Flower; and brother, Conrad G. Clark. She is survived by her children: Diana L. (Jim W.) Whittem, Deborah Flower, Jon C. (Rena K.) Flower, Beth S. Brail, and Scott A. (Debrah S. Jones Flower) Flower; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on January 11, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Springport Cemetery located on M-99 in Springport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to McLaren Hospice, 2815 S. Pennsylvania Street, Suite 4, Lansing MI 48910; or Jackson County Humane Society, 1515 Carmen Dr., Jackson, MI 49202.
