Sparrow Eaton Hospital (SEH) in Charlotte has received many kind offers from community members, asking if they can help with donations. The answer is “yes.”
The hospital has set up a donation collection site at the AL!VE facility located at 800 W. Lawrence Ave. in Charlotte. The site opened on Monday, March 30.
SEH caregivers are accepting donations from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. SEH is asking that residents do not drop items off at the hospital’s main campus or other sites.
The following new or unopened items (partial list) are being accepted at the AL!VE donation site at the times specified above:
– disposable face masks
– N95 masks, including 3D printed
– eye protection including face shields and safety goggles
– disposable gowns
– disposable non-latex gloves
– surgical caps
– disposable foot covers
– bleach
– bleach or anti-microbial sanitizing wipes
– hand sanitizer
– hand-sewn reusable masks (call or email for the approved pattern before sewing)
Items not being accepted include medications, food, blankets, medical equipment and other supplies not named above.
