The winner of the Second Annual Olive Burger Festival is Abie’s Bar of downtown Eaton Rapids. This year was their first time entering the contest. Abie’s Bar walked away with the Judge’s Choice Oliver Burger in this year’s Festival, which took place on October 5 at Jackson Field in Lansing. Abie’s Bar was asked to enter the contest by the festival committee from receiving high regards of Abie’s olive burger that has been a favorite among their customers.

Natalie Steward- Johnson, owner of Abie’s Bar, told me, “We had fun at the Olive Burger Festival, we even made a special olive burger with peanut butter, in memory of my dad. Helping me at the festival were great friends, my husband, Travis, ‘ticket boy’ Rich, brother, Christopher Steward, and Diana who works at Abie’s Bar.”

What makes their olive burger stand out is they get their meat locally from Merindorf Meats in Mason and use high quality green olives and mayonnaise in their olive sauce. Abie’s Bar cooks their olive burger on a Char-boil grill, not a standard flat top that a lot of restaurants use. They let the burger speak for itself. So, stop by Abie’s Bar today to get their award-winning olive burger, located at 100 S. Main Street in Eaton Rapids. They are open Monday- Thursday 11 a.m.- midnight., Friday- Saturday 11 a.m.- 2a.m., and Sunday 12- 10 p.m.
