Susan Kay Myers
Susan Kay Myers, age 90, of Charlotte, Michigan, a kind and genuine woman who never met a stranger, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, in Rives Junction, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 6, 1936, to LaVern and Claria (Anderson) Carmoney.
Susan had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Whether she was tending to her garden, camping, cooking, or riding the quad runner, she embraced each moment fully. Alongside her beloved husband, Bob, she created a lifetime of cherished memories while exploring Northern Michigan, Canada, and Alaska – places that brought her both adventure and peace.
In her forties, Susan reconnected with her childhood friend, Robert Clyde Brown, and the two were married in 1987, beginning a beautiful chapter together filled with love and companionship.
Family meant everything to Susan. One of her greatest joys spending time with her grandfather. She took great joy in bringing people together, whether hosting warm and welcoming dinner gatherings or creating magical, memorable Christmas celebrations that will be treasured for generations.
Susan was also a talented and hardworking woman who took pride in working with her hands. She began her career at Charlotte Shoe Repair, later worked for Owens-Illinois, and ultimately shared her skill and craftsmanship at Charlotte Chair Company, where her attention to detail and dedication were evident in all she did.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her generous spirit, and the love she so freely gave to those around her.
Susan is survived by her children, Keven Myers and August Mellios; grandchildren Jessica, Laura, Ben, Pete, Joe, Chrisie, Asjia, Zach, Keisjia, and Shilo; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Robert; and grandson Chad.
