Kay Francis Cole

Kay Frances Cole of Eaton Rapids entered into the pearly gates of Heaven on March 28, 2026, at the age of 78. Kay was born in Lansing, Michigan, November 26, 1947, the daughter of John “Jack” and Helen (Robson) Gallagher. Kay’s life was centered around her faith in God. She showed her kindness and love for others by serving as a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Eaton Rapids Garden Club sharing her deep affection of gardening and beauty throughout the city. For many years Kay also sponsored the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Grand Ledge and was instrumental in getting the lights that are hanging at Christmas time on the island in Eaton Rapids.

Kay is survived by her daughters, Theresa (Keith) Komora, Shawna (Jason) Green; sons, Todd Kandaris, Chad (Jennifer Hendricks) Cole, Scott Cole; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Robert Gallagher, Ronald Gallagher; sisters, Sue Ann Hackett, Patricia (Mark) Willett. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim Cole in 2021; daughter, Tammy (T.C.) Eitniear; grandson, Dylan Cole; brother, John Gallagher.

A Funeral Mass was held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 515 E. Knight St. Eaton Rapids, with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Visitation took place one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Charities Eaton Rapids.
