Beverly Jean Hadley

Beverly Jean Hadley of Charlotte, 88, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026. She was the daughter of Ernest and Anna Wright, born January 17, 1938. In 1956 she married the love of her life Charles Hadley and had four children. She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend.

She worked hard alongside her husband raising their four children, running a 200-acre farm, co-owner of South End Grocery and serving as an active member of First Lutheran Church. She was the center and anchor of her family and loved family get togethers. She was kind to everyone and at mealtime all were welcome. She encouraged all to love one another and to love Jesus. She loved to play games, sharp at euchre and got many Yahtzee and bingo’s and later learned to play golf with her sisters. She enjoyed nature, watching birds and deer, and always looked forward to the spring purple phlox. One of her favorite holidays was Christmas time and she always remembered birthdays, sending cards and faithfully signing “God Loves You and So Do I.” Her love and influence will be sorely missed.

Beverly is survived by her four children, Kim (Bud) Kruszka, Chuck (Tiva) Hadley, Sally (Rod) Magoon, and Scott (Bonnie) Hadley; 16 grandchildren: Marshall Magoon, Christopher (friend Tonya) Magoon, Jessica Hadley, Tim Lenhard, Mitchell (Jen) Magoon, Tia (Ray) Armstrong, Ty (Brianna) Hadley, Nikolaus (friend Eliza) Kruszka, Samantha Dumond, Kaity Loveland and Alex Cummings; 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and friends, Bobbie, Diane and Bryce Lake. She was preceded in death by husband Charles Hadley; and grandchildren Charles (Chuckie) Hadley III, Jeremiah Hadley; and great-grandchild Charles Hadley IV.

She is also survived by her sisters, Janet Bryner and Sally Buckley; and brother-in-law Richard Phelan.

Special thanks and gratitude to Eaton County Gardens Long Term Care Facility and Rehabilitation for the love and care she received over the past few months.
