In the heart of Charlotte’s social district, a new era of artistic expression has dawned. Thanks to the vision of Mikaela and the unwavering support of her father Brian, brother Dylan and mother Renee, the community now has a welcoming place to embrace the art of creation. Welcome to the grand opening of Charlotte Pottery where the mundane is transformed into magic and creativity knows no bounds.

At Charlotte Pottery, individuals and families alike can step into a creative haven without the need for an appointment. Simply drop in, pick out a piece of pottery, and let your artistic instincts take the lead. There are no restrictions, no predefined rules; just pure freedom to paint, design, and express. Whether seasoned artists or first-time painters, all skill levels are embraced, fostering an environment of imagination and joy.

Painting is only the beginning. Soon Charlotte Pottery will expand its offerings, allowing guests to mold and create their own pottery from scratch. The studio plans to introduce art showcases, along with a variety of art classes in order to establish itself as a hub of creativity for Mid-Michigan. With each brushstroke and sculpted design, patrons will contribute to an ever-growing artistic legacy.

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, owners Brian and Dylan DeWaters, along with the rest of the family, gathered to celebrate the launch of what promises to be one of the finest family businesses in the region. For those who missed the grand opening, there is no need for concern, Charlotte Pottery welcomes everyone, anytime, to stop in between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., every day except for Wednesday, and experience the thrill of artistic expression. Whether you are looking to unwind, bond with loved ones, or discover a hidden creative talent, Charlotte Pottery is the perfect destination and is located at 118 E. Lawrence Ave. in Charlotte. As the studio grows, it aims to become a cornerstone of Charlotte’s artistic landscape and to inspire the community to embrace the beauty of handcrafted art. So do not be shy and stop on by to visit.
