The Super Pooper Scooper is a recently established dog poop scooping business founded by eleven-year-old Samuel Bliss. He first started this business last spring to raise money for church camp, inspired by his friends who were doing the same thing. Samuel, however, made an ongoing business out of it. He saw his business as a chance to give back to his community by helping those of all ages clean up after their dogs. Now having been operating for over a year, Samuel is growing his business by giving back to local organizations, including Crosswalk Teen Center and Helping Hands, where he gives dog food for the local pets. The hope for Super Pooper Scooper is to give back to even more organizations as they grow. The motive for Samuel is the Super Pooper Scooper motto, which he created himself: ‘they poop it, we scoop it!’

Super Pooper Scooper, originally based in Charlotte, has quickly grown their customer base to Potterville, Eaton Rapids, and sometimes to Bellevue. When asked what sets his business apart from others, Samuel says that he always double checks his yards to ensure that he did a spotless job for the customer, in addition to the fair and reasonable prices that Super Pooper Scooper charges.

After having met Samuel myself, I can say that he is a very intelligent young man who is on track to be an amazing entrepreneur. But do not just take my word on it, hear what his customers have to say. “Samuel comes every two weeks and does a very thorough job, and I am very satisfied. He makes sure that you are satisfied before he leaves. Samuel is a very well-mannered and polite young man. The Super Pooper Scooper is very accurate and timely, he shows up when he say he will show up. I will continue using The Super Pooper Scooper forever,” shared Ashley Graham. Another satisfied customer, Kristina Burgman, said, “[He] does an amazing job, even better than my own kids. His entrepreneurial abilities are superior for his age. I very much appreciate his diligent hard work.” Also pleased with his work, Sherrie Cochran stated, “Samuel does a really good job. He has only come a couple of times but, he is very sweet towards the dogs and me. I am very impressed with how smart he is.”

In his free time, Samuel enjoys biking, playing video games, collecting tools, swimming, and all things computer related. Some of his favorite hobbies are computer coding, projector repair, and wiring projects.

As a budding businessman, Samuel has had some great opportunities to spread the word about his business and learn how to improve. For the past two years, Cottage Inn Pizza has sponsored a table for Super Pooper Scooper at the Eaton County Home and Business Expo. That kind of act does not go unnoticed by Samuel as he wants to encourage everybody to go and visit Cottage Inn Pizza for their continuous support of him and his business. A goal that Samuel is setting for himself for next year is to be able to sponsor either his own table at the Eaton County Home and Business Expo, or pay for his participation in Locals in Business. He has previously given a presentation at a meeting for Locals in Business and looks forward to being a part of that group for the growth of Super Pooper Scooper.
