It provides the perfect ending to a fun-filled weekend spent celebrating the Charlotte community. More than 1,000 people gather at Fitch H. Beach Municipal Airport every Father’s Day morning to eat a delicious pancake breakfast and take in the sites and sounds of the annual Father’s Day Fly In.
Organized in large part the last few years by the Charlotte Rotary Club and Friends of the Charlott Airport, the Father’s Day Fly In provides attractions for all ages. Aside from the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, which is offered at just $6 per person, the morning is filled with an aerial display by professional parachutists, helicopter rides, bounce houses for the kids, and aircraft of all kinds on display.
The Father’s Day Fly In takes place Sunday, June 18 from 7 to 11:30 a.m. at Fitch H. Beach Municipal Airport. For more information, email info@friendsofcharlotteairport.org. The pancake breakfast will be held rain or shine, however, some of the aerial attractions will be available weather permitting.
