Hidden Creek Farms of Charlotte has been taking community to a whole new level this summer. Every Tuesday evening in July and August, owners Haley and Adam Auvenshine welcome everyone to their gorgeous venue at no charge. A peaceful atmosphere, live music, fellowship, and an optional hour of yoga are all part of the charm. Food is also available for purchase. They have enlisted the partnership of various food trucks in the area to provide food each week. Alcohol and kid friendly drinks are also available. While the event makes for a perfect date night, it’s also a great place for family time. Children can enjoy playing in the open atmosphere while parents relax together watching the band. Live music varies from week to week, showcasing different local musicians. Hidden Creek has also partnered with AL!VE to offer a yoga class appropriate for all levels. The entire event lasts from 6 p.m.-10 p.m., with yoga running from 6:45-7:45. Although Hidden Creek Farms has been hosting weddings for six years, this is only their second summer of hosting their Tuesday evening event, which they have fittingly titled “Sunset and Chill.”
Adam says that the idea stemmed from their own personal love of their farm. “We have enjoyed this property so much; we wanted a way for the whole community to enjoy it with us.” He loves greeting everyone in the parking lot as they arrive, helping to direct cars and welcoming event goers personally. “I like to be out here to greet everyone to set a welcoming vibe right from the beginning” says Adam. When asked what his favorite part of this event was, he said “I love the opportunity to connect with others and bring people together.” By inviting local bands, food trucks, yoga participants, families, and anyone looking to unwind, Sunset and Chill offers a way for the whole community to come together.
Sunset and Chill is located right on the Hidden Creek Farms property at 2181 E Vermontville Hwy, Charlotte. For more information you can find them on Facebook, Instagram, or on their website at www.experiencehiddencreek.com.
