— Blake Blanchard is one of the biggest Greyhound fans around. But during senior night on March 5, it was his turn to bask in the glory of hearing hundreds of fans cheering for him.

Blake is a special education student in an Eaton RESA program at Eaton Rapids High School (ERHS). He has served as a manager for the Greyhound’s football and basketball programs for the past few years. His fellow ERHS athletic supporters thought he deserved a big “thank you” for all his work and arranged for him to join the boys varsity basketball team in its home game against Springport.

Blake donned a Greyhound uniform at halftime and at the conclusion of the game took his shot at the hoop. He scored, to the delight of all those in attendance.
