Bonnie M. Jones
Bonnie Marie Jones, age 78, of Olivet, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 10, 2020. She was born August 12, 1942, in Clarion, Pennsylvania the daughter of Paul and Alice (Freebourn) Clinger. On July 26, 1963, in Clarion, Pennsylvania, Bonnie married the love of her life Robert E. Jones. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She cherished her family and always looked forward to preparing Sunday dinner for everyone. Bonnie had a heart of gold and was always concerned about the welfare of others. She was a social butterfly and looked forward to spending time with others. Bonnie enjoyed reading, painting, music, playing Scrabble, going to garage sales, woodworking, and doing crossword puzzles. Bonnie was a true lady and never left the house without every hair in place, a beautiful outfit, and matching earrings to bring it all together. Bonnie was a devoted servant of Christ and an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Charlotte.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob; children: Lori (Jeffrey) Oberlin of Marshall, Chris (Amy) Jones of Marshall; grandchildren: Ashley Oberlin, Devin (Megan Schultz) Oberlin, Travis Oberlin, Elaina Jones; siblings: James Clinger of Grand Rapids, Linda Shepherd of Georgia, Norma Martin of Pennsylvania; and brother-in-law, John Duggan of Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Louis (Sue) Clinger, Mary (Walter) Jones, Irene (Bill) Etzel and Nancy Duggan.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastors Timothy Potter and Mark Booth officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Porter Cemetery.
