Gordon Dale Turner

Gordon Dale Turner, 66, passed away at his home on Monday, December 8, 2025. He was born August 22, 1959.

Gordon was born in Lansing, Michigan, and remained close to his birthplace until he found his home in Olivet. Many in the community would recognize “Gordy” from the Coachlight, Tim’s Pizza, Dollar General, and The University of Olivet.

He most enjoyed spending his free time working in his exquisite yard, tending to his flowers, or relaxing with close friends.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Turner and Rheeta Sanford.

Gordon is survived by his siblings Catherine (Robert) Crewson of Charlotte, North Carolina (NC), Debra Parsons of Wilmington, NC, Michael Turner of Raleigh, NC, and David (Sandra) Turner of Hubert, NC, and close friends Andy Bayes, Trina Bayes, and Cindy Bogner of Olivet.

Friends and acquaintances were welcomed to attend a Celebration of Gordon’s Life on Thursday, December 18, between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Olivet University Student Center at 200 Cottage St. in Olivet, Michigan.
