Judy L. Webb

Judy L. Webb, age 73, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, in Bellevue, Michigan. She was born on March 15, 1952, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Richard and Patricia (Irish) Kent.

Judy married the love of her life, Gary Webb, and together they shared 55 years of marriage, building a life rooted in hard work, love, and laughter. In their younger years, they farmed side by side, tending crops and animals and taking great pride in doing things themselves. Judy was rarely found sitting still—she was always outdoors, working, fixing, helping, or getting her hands dirty. She loved being busy and felt most at home outside, no matter the weather. Always cold, she could usually be found in jeans, a turtleneck, and a sweatshirt, even in the summer.

Judy graduated from Bellevue High School. A proud “Calhoun Carnie,” she raised and showed cattle through 4-H and played basketball in high school, carrying that competitive spirit and toughness with her throughout her life. She was strong, determined, and fearless, never shying away from hard work and more than capable of outworking anyone around her.

Family was everything to Judy. She believed a loud, busy house meant love was present, and her home was always full. She never missed a game, event, or activity for her children or grandchildren, even as her health declined. Judy loved watching her grandchildren in all of their sporting events and took immense pride in cheering them on. Judy stayed involved in 4-H as her children grew and took great pride in watching them participate in sports and activities. Holidays were held at her house, where she proudly “ran the roost” and made sure everyone was fed and cared for.

Judy showed her love through food. No one ever left her home hungry. She was known for cooking for an army and always having something ready to eat or drink. Sweets—especially chocolate bars and M&M’s—were never far away. Her peanut butter sheet cake was legendary, along with family favorites such as homemade macaroni and cheese, cheesy potatoes, meatloaf, and Swiss steak.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Patricia Kent; her sister, Sue Wood; and her aunt, Jeanne Kent.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Webb; her sons, Jeff (Shannon) Webb and Jason Webb; her grandchildren, Cameron Webb, Donald Kyre, and Logan Kyre; her brother, Tom (Kathy) Kent; her dear friends, Janet Moon and Ruth Goheen; and her beloved dogs, Penny and Daisy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Judy’s memory may do so to Eaton County 4-H or the Webb Family Farm Pulling Team.

To honor Judy, the family invites you to bake her peanut butter sheet cake using her recipe and think of her—outside, working, and doing things her own way.

The Kempf Family Funeral Home is honored to care for the Webb family during this time.
