Keith Eugene Moore


Keith Eugene Moore, a devoted and hard-working, husband, father, grandfather and friend, died peacefully surrounded by his family at the Flower House on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Keith 85, of Vermontville, was born on December 11, 1936, the son of Melvin and Doris (Marrison) Moore in Lansing. Following graduation from Vermontville high school Keith began working for Fisher Body (GM) as a Pipe Fitter. Keith worked for Fisher Body for 30 plus years before retiring in 1985. On October 1, 1955, Keith married the love of his life Martha Grant and together they spent the next 66 years creating their legacy. Keith built his family home in Vermontville and could be frequently found outside tinkering. He also loved being on his John Deere Tractors. On the farm Keith loved his animals. The family enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and going to auctions. Keith and Martha wintered in Nokomis, Florida for 32 years, where Keith enjoyed helping others in the community and also tending to his many citrus trees. Keith and Martha devoted their life to the Lord, they attended the Vermontville Bible Church and Chester Gospel Church. The family would like to extend a thank you to Carol from the Hospice of Lansing and also the staff at the Flower House for their exceptional care given to Keith.
Keith is survived by his wife, Martha; children, Brenda (Bryant) Vedder, Brian (Anita) Moore, Brent (Christine) Moore; grandchildren, Rebecca (Jon) Livingston, Heidi (Jason) Halliwill, Eric (Caitlin) Vedder, Kelly (Richard) Harwood, Ryan Moore, Kevin (Bobbie) Moore, Travis (Barbara) Moore, Cody Moore; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Winegar; and brother-in-law, Bill Ostergren. He was predeceased by his parents; great-grandson, Toby Livingston; sister, Nancy Ostergren; and brother-in-law, Homer Winegar.
