Laurence Russell Galvin

Laurence Russell Galvin, a happy go lucky man, died on Monday, October 31, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. Laurence, 67, of Charlotte, was born October 14, 1955, in Lansing, MI the son of Laurence and Mary (Morris) Galvin. Following graduating from high school Laurence enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his country for four years. He worked as a window repairman for Carefree Windows in Charlotte and was known for his handyman skills. Many will remember Laurence for being the center of attention and his ability to get along with just about anyone that he crossed paths with. His hobbies included reading, working on jigsaw puzzles and building model cars.
Laurence is survived by his children, Josh Galvin, and Molly Galvin; three grandchildren, Dayton, Kylee, and Damian; siblings, Steve (Rhonda) Galvin, Wayne Galvin, and Louella (Mike) Hamilton. He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral services are Monday, November 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Charles Jenson officiating. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from Noon – 2:00 p.m. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
