Just six days shy of his 73rd birthday, David K. Wells of Charlotte, Michigan passed away after his battle with cancer. David graduated from Olivet High School in 1967 and shortly after joined the US Marine Corps. He served proudly for two years, one of which was in Vietnam. He followed up doing concrete work for a few years, and finally driving semi for Ryder Trucking. Upon retirement, he returned part time to construction. He loved fixing things. He felt his mission in life was, “If it’s broke, I will fix it.” This included car mechanics, replacing engines, fixing brakes, fuel pumps, etc. He would figure it out.
