Debra Stevens-Ferguson


Debra Kaye Stevens-Ferguson, a caring and fun loving, wife, mother, and friend, died Monday, May 2, 2022. Debra, 67, of Charlotte, MI, was born February 26, 1955, in Charlotte, MI, the daughter of Walter and Lillian (Klont) Peterson. Upon graduating from high school Debra began working for General Motors where she was a line worker until her recent retirement. On May 24, 2003, Debra married William Ferguson and together they created their lasting legacy. Many will remember Debra for being a woman who was always willing to help out anyone in need. Debra and William had a strong passion for Harley Davidsons and could be found at different events around the state. She also enjoyed spending time working in her flower beds, sewing, crotcheting and knitting.
Debra is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, William; children, Carolene Brandon, Mary Anne Jones, Johnathan Stevens; four grandchildren, Chase, Scott, Dakota, and Tea; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Candace Hampton. She was predeceased by her parents.

Marian Renea Turner


Marian Renea Turner of Eaton Rapids, passed away unexpectedly, April 25, 2022, at the age of 56. Renea was born in Dillon, SC, October 27, 1965, the daughter of Marion and Frances (Cooke) Turner. She always stayed busy cooking, decorating, making crafts, raising plants and flowers, watching WWE Smackdown, dancing, and karaoke. Family was everything to her. She loved organizing and planning events, helping her brother at his shop in Charlotte, baking with her Sissy, but most of all she loved watching her son and grandchildren play their favorite sports. Renea’s favorite sayings, were, “kiss my grits,” and “Aunt Nea loves you,” She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Renea is survived by her mother; daughters, Samantha (Ryan) Klink-Haindel of Onondaga, Ashley (Austin Carmody) Wicker of Lansing; son, Nicholas (Alexis) Turner of Eaton Rapids; grandchildren, Britney, Haizy, Aiden, Rayne, Jeremiah, Grace, Kendilyn, Gabie, Kinsley, Kyleigh, Harleigh; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Johnny Stewart Turner; grandparents, Tracy Cooke, Mary Cifelli, George Turner and Mary Sports.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022, at the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel in Eaton Rapids. Visitation will take place Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service. Wayne Eugene Beiser


Wayne Eugene Beiser of Lansing, formerly of Dansville, passed away April 27, 2022, at the age of 87. Wayne was born in Detroit, MI, September 1, 1934, the son of Mack and Faith (Vernon) Beiser. He was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts, was a member of the Stockbridge United Methodist Church, singing in the choir, was also a member of the Eaton Rapids First United Methodist Church and the Lansing Conservatory of Music. Music was Wayne’s life. He attended Central Michigan University, through 1952, was in the concert and marching bands, and was proud to have been able to play taps at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He enjoyed reading, wood working, was a builder and loved to spend time in his garden.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Nancy Beiser; son, Terry Beiser of Jackson, daughter, Taune DeBolt of Brooklyn; step-daughter, Stephanie Sanders of Lansing; mother of his children, Donna (Michael) Pierce of Brooklyn; grandchildren, Andrea Vasquez, Chrissy Beiser, Kelly (Brad) Mason, Emily DeBolt, Katherine Seybert, Erica Beiser, Alex (Nisha) Beiser; several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Beverly Joyce Dison.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel in Eaton Rapids. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation was Friday from 6-8 p.m. The family will also receive friends on Saturday, one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Rapids Band Boosters.
