Jonathan Edward Larson
Jonathan Edward Larson of Summerville, Georgia and formerly of Springport, Eaton Rapids, and Niles, Michigan, passed away of natural causes at his Summerville, Georgia residence on August 27, 2025 at the age of 78. Jonathan was born in Jackson, on June 14, 1947, the son of Clyde and Frances (Naegele) Larson.
Jonathan loved to play the guitar with his brother in his younger years, loved his 1967 and 1970 Chevrolet Chevelles, watching movies, and woodworking. He was a 1965 Springport High School graduate and was employed as a factory worker at Aluminum Extrusions and Eaton Stamping. Jonathan loved living in Georgia’s warm climate.
Jonathan is survived by his children, Jonathan George Larson and Regina Larson; grandchildren, Jonathan C. Larson, Allen Larson, Cheyenne Larson, Dustin Marsiglio; brothers, Chester Larson and Brian (Sue) Larson; sister-in-law, Helene Larson; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Donna L. Larson; brothers, Wayne Brock, Gary Brock and David Larson; sister-in-laws, Carol Brock, Susan Larson, and Sandra Brock.
Cremation has taken place.

David Christopher Rabidoux
David Christopher Rabidoux of Eaton Rapids, passed away August 30, 2025, at the age of 63. David was born in Montpelier, Ohio on November 25, 1961, the son of Dolphis II and Jean Rabidoux. He loved to be in the outdoors hunting, farming at Evergreen Farms in Eaton Rapids and in his younger years showing dairy cows in 4-H. David worked in the road construction industry until he was struck with ALS and was unable to continue that line of work.
David is survived by his parents; his wife, Tracy Lynn (Jacob) Rabidoux of Lansing; two sons, David of Maryland and Trenton (Ashley) Rabidoux Holt, MI; grandson, Hayden Rabidoux; brothers, Dolphis III and Dean Rabidoux; sister, Jill (Carl) Bienz; sister-in-law, Jill Ann Rabidoux; brother-in-law, Bryan Bloom and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Edward Rabidoux and sister, Julia Bloom.
As per David’s wishes, no services are scheduled at this time. Angela Christine Harris Russell
Angela Christine (Harris) Russell, a woman with a heart of gold and who welcomed anyone, died surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Angela, 70, of Olivet, was born on July 28, 1955, in Pikeville, Kentucky, the daughter of Troy and Doloras (Rossi) Harris. Upon moving to Charlotte, Angela was always proud of her Kentucky roots. Angela worked for 15 years at Owens Illinois and once retired proudly became a Homemaker. On March 19, 1989, Angela married Joseph “Joe” Russell II and together they spent 36 years creating lasting memories. Hobbies that she enjoyed included spending countless hours tending to her miraculous flower gardens, striking up a conversation with anyone, hosting family BBQs, and in her younger years, dancing. Above all her grandchildren brought her the most enjoyment in life.
Angela is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter, Holly (Eric) Dickerson; grandchildren, Kenzie Heisler, Austin Dickerson, and Addi Dickerson; great-grandchildren, Carter, Kobe, and Creed; siblings, Terri Uhl, Victor Harris, and Mark Harris; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Austin; sister, Jodi Harris; brother, Sylvester Harris; brother-in-law, Spike Uhl; niece, Kayla Barnett; nephews, Curis Harris and Kyle Barnett; and her parents.

June L. Todd
June L. Todd, 91, passed peacefully from this life into glory on August 16, 2025 in North Carolina with her daughter by her side.
June was born and raised in the Lansing area to the parents of Earl & Maude McKimmy who resided on Robinson Road. She was one of nine children and would smile and say, “we had our own ball team.” She attended Resurrection High School.
June worked for Owens Illinois glass plant in Charlotte and eventually retired from Charlotte Public School System.
She was a woman of many talents and hobbies, but her passion was prayer, she was known by many as a prayer warrior. Praying for her family was how she started every morning. She was a long standing member of Mt. Hope Church in Lansing and filled many positions, divorce recovery, intercessory prayer, urgent prayer partner, and answering the phones in The Global Prayer Chapel just to name a few.
June had a light, fun loving spirit always up for an adventure whether in was traveling to Florida to spend time with Tim and Kassy or to North Carolina to see Frank and Bev or Greg and Jamie she loved soaking up that warm southern sun and riding to the mountains. She loved spending time with family and over the years spent most, if not all, of the holidays with her son Dave and his family in Potterville. Other special times were when her granddaughter, Stacy would stop by and say, “let us go granny.”
June is survived by her four children, Frank Paszkowski (Beverly), Dave Paszkowski (Donna), Jamie Proctor (Greg), and Tim Todd (Kassy). She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. June is also survived by three of her five sisters, Troby Osmer, Mary Mooney, and Billie Grumblatt also known as Earls pearls.
Junes positive outlook, wonderful sense of humor, and ability to turn lemons into lemonade will be greatly missed by so many.
Celebration of life arrangements will be made at a later date.

Sue Ann Goodrich
Sue Ann Goodrich
Sue Ann Goodrich, age 93, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Hope Landing in Charlotte. She was born December 15, 1931, in Charlotte the daughter of Jack and Floy (Patrick) Hale. Sue graduated from Charlotte High School in 1950. On May 1, 1950, she married Jerry Edison Goodrich in South Bend, Indiana. Sue’s entire life was spent making sure those around her were cared for to the best of her ability. She adored her family and cherished cooking and caring for each one of them in a uniquely special way. Sue and Jerry were members of the First Congregational Church in Charlotte in their younger years. Here she enjoyed fixing the noodles for their yearly bazaar and helping in the kitchen. Later in life, both she and Jerry became members of the Gresham United Methodist Church. They could often be found helping with the turkey dinners and ice cream socials. Sue will be dearly missed by her cherished family and many friends.
Sue is survived by her children, Rodney Lee (Patricia Ann) Goodrich of Charlotte, Jerri-Lyn Upright of Charlotte, Cindy Lou (Ron Whitcomb) Goodrich of Bellevue; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry; daughters, Gail and Kristi; her siblings, Sallie Schmidt and Charles Rodney Hale; and her parents.
A celebration of Sue’s life was held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Chad Rogers officiating. The family received friends from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. just prior to the service. Burial took place at Gresham Cemetery.

Helen Michael
Helen Michael
Helen Michael of McAllen, TX, formerly of Charlotte, MI, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025. Helen was born February 6, 1946 in Kentucky. She graduated from Charlotte High School.
Helen loved her family. She spent a lot of time mentoring her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She is survived by her daughter Suzy Michael; grandkids, Victoria, Tamara, Maggy, Carley, Chase and Joseph; great-grandkids, Zachary, William, Aidan, MaryJane, Nadia, Lilith, Ryder, Maisy and Damian; siblings, Roy (Rae) Maggard, Larry (Mary) Maggard, Catherine Shields, and Fay Binkowski; many nieces and nephews, and her best friend of many years, Carol.
She was preceded in death by her son Robert, her husband Douglas, and her parents Ishmale and Edna Maggard.
A graveside memorial with family will be September 11, 2025 at Bosworth Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Evelyn Bay Coffee Shop in Charlotte.

James Duane Miller
James Duane Miller, 79, of Nashville/Bellevue area went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. He was born on March 24, 1946 to Oral and Marian (Klein) Miller in Nashville, MI. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1964 and Michigan State University in 1966. On October 20, 1968 he married Dena Potter in Bellevue, MI.
He served in the US Army from 1966–1972. Jim worked for Post Cereals for 36 years. He ran his own business, Oak Park Firearms, for many years. Jim also farmed his family farm, where he was a 4th generation farmer.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bellevue where he served in several positions for his Lord. He was serving as a Trustee of Assyria Township Board, he was a Life Member of the N.R.A. Jim also did Civil War re-enacting. He enjoyed being with his family, hunting, fishing, genealogy, history and reading. He also did competition shooting. Most importantly, Jim loved his Lord, his family and he had a love for others as well.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Dena; children, Joshua J. (Kristi) Miller, Jennifer (Dave) Carl; grandchildren, Zachary and Rian Carl, Kensington and Sutton Miller; sisters, Sandra (Eugene) Conklin, and Beth Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Suzann Miller.
Visitation was held Thursday, August 28, 2025, 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with the funeral service that started at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bellevue with Pastor Don Francis, officiating.
Immediately following the service, Jim will be taken to Ellis Cemetery. Everyone is invited back to the church for a luncheon and time of fellowship.

Shirley Irene Romanek
Shirley Irene Romanek, 82, of Gaylord, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at The Porches in Gaylord. Shirley was a former longtime resident of Charlotte and Crystal Falls, Michigan.
Born August 16, 1943, in Detroit, she was the daughter of Leonard and Ruth (Rawson) Munn. After graduating from high school, Shirley enlisted in the U.S. Navy WAVES, serving for more than two years from 1962-1964.
Shirley was introduced to Lawrence Romanek Jr. in 1971 by her sister, Louise. The two fell in love and were married in Lansing on December 18,1971. They lived briefly in Lansing before moving to Charlotte. Larry worked at General Motors in Lansing, and Shirley worked as a key punch operator for the State of Michigan Department of Human Services in Charlotte. After they retired, they moved to Crystal Falls in 1990. Earlier this year they moved to The Porches Assisted Living in Gaylord.
Shirley loved animals, especially enjoying Irish Setters and later Beagles. She also enjoyed her horses, Regina and Haji. Shirley also enjoyed the deer around their home, especially Bucky, the orphaned fawn that was a constant presence around their home. Family and friends will remember her collection of chicken themed coffee mugs, always on display in their homes. Larry and Shirley enjoyed traveling, including trips out west, to Vermont, and to Ireland.
Shirley is survived by Larry, her loving husband of almost 54 years; her sister, Louise (Paul) Anderson; her niece, Rebecca (Steve) Ward and their daughters, Kelly and Robin Ward; her step-daughter, Lisa (Todd) Clark; nieces and nephews, Jim (Wanda) Darrow, Steve Taylor, Dan (JoAnne) Romanek, David (Kimberly) Romanek, and Gary (Jackie) Crowe; her brother-in-law, Robert (Elsa) Romanek; several grandchildren and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Munn and Ruth Jablonski-Doyle; and her stepson, Jeff Romanek.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation was at 12:30 p.m. Interment with a brief committal service took place at 12:00 noon (CDT), Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls.

Dawn Michele Lothamer
Dawn Michele “Micki” Lothamer passed away surrounded by family in her home on August 18, 2025. Born on December 24, 1948, to James (Mike) and Mary Lou Mathews in Charlotte, MI. Micki attended St. Mary’s School and graduated from Charlotte High School in 1967.
On May 31, 1969 Micki married Peter Lothamer. Together they spent 30 years together running Lothamer’s Market on the corner in Bellevue. She had many happy memories watching families grow, children spending their allowances on the candy aisle, daily morning coffee and smoke with the locals and weekend hang out for the teens. Life was much simpler then. Later she worked at Riverside Cafe. She had a love for keeping her lawn and flowers beautiful.
She is survived by a loving family. Daughter, Racheal (Randy) Barnes; grandchildren, Nathaniel (Madison) Barnes, Nicholas Barnes, Miranda (Bryce) Maly, Noah Barnes; and great granddaughter Lily. Son, Mathew (Beth) Lothamer; grandchildren, Sam, Ethan, Issac and Reuben Lothamer. Sisters, Patti (Mike) Parish, Robyn (Scott Kramer) Long ,and Jamie (Dean) Mead. Plus, many nieces and nephews.
Some of her last words were, “Make sure everybody knows I love them.”
Her funeral will take place at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bellevue on September 13. Visitation will start at 10:30 a.m. and funeral at 11:30 a.m. with fellowship following.
