Retirement allowed her to publish two educational books guided by her expertise in teacher training, staff development, and international studies. She continued to travel, and planned to spend the winters in Cozumel, living “the Bohemian life, enjoying culture, practicing my Spanish, and of course writing!” She was an inspiration to educators and grandmothers from Atlanta to Dubai.
