Candace Jo Bahr


Candace “Candy” Jo Bahr, 48, of Charlotte, died unexpectedly on August 4, 2021 in Lansing. Candy was born December 21, 1972 in Charlotte, the daughter of Charlie Allen and Jolene Frances (Griffin) Bahr. She graduated from Charlotte High School in 1990 before attending Lansing Community College. She worked at Latchaw Financial Services for several years, and most recently was a member of the grounds crew at Maple Brook Golf Club.
Candy is survived by her daughters; Charlee Jo Bahr and Stevi Stephenson; father, Charlie Bahr; nephew, Brandon Bahr; nieces, Addison Bahr and Avery Bahr.
She was predeceased by her mother, Jolene Bahr; sister, Debbie Bahr; and brother, Todd Bahr.

Donald L. Greenfield


Donald Leslie Greenfield, 92, of Bellevue, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
He was born December 7, 1928 in Charlotte to Ralph and Ethelyn (Cook) Greenfield. Donald graduated from Bellevue High School. He married Lola M. Woodard on July 15, 1946.
He was the owner of City Service in Bellevue which later became Citgo for 35 years. Donald worked as a Machinist at Airway Manufacturing in Olivet for 22 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a long-time volunteer with the Bellevue Fire Department. He attended Pleasantview Family Church in Dowling. Donald enjoyed bowling, playing the lottery, watching the Detroit Tigers and going to the casino. He will be missed as being a fiercely independent man and wasn’t one to show love, but his children knew they were loved.
Donald is survived by his children, Donna (Donald) Cosgrove of Battle Creek, Tina (Kurt) Olmstead of Bellevue, and Les (Angie) Greenfield of Hastings; his grandchildren, Daniel Cosgrove of Battle Creek, Jason Cosgrove of Battle Creek, Shawn (Bill) Gardner of Richmond Hill, Georgia, Cristy Beers of Olivet, Kurt Olmstead of Battle Creek, Tiffany (Brian) Stob of Grand Ledge, Bryce (Meg) Greenfield of Holt, Sean (Kyla) Krontz of Battle Creek and Lainey (Josh) Smith of Baldwin; his great grandchildren, Brian Beers of Olivet and Elle Pompey of Grand Ledge; his siblings, Phyllis Whitcomb of Battle Creek, Linda Willison of Bellevue, Esther Clark of Battle Creek, Mary Barrick of Nashville and Alice Fayger of Waterdown, Ontario, Canada. He is also survived by his special friend, Joyce Miller of Bellevue, and his “adopted son,” Billy Page of Bellevue. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola; his parents; his grandson, Brian Olmstead; his brother, Gary Greenfield; his sisters, Ruth Allerding and Gladys Greenfield.
A private graveside service will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bellevue Fire Department.

Joyce O. Webb


Joyce Opal Webb, age 86, of Potterville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Thornapple Manor in Hastings. She was born May 6, 1935, in Howell, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Poole) Anderson. Joyce was raised in Michigan’s upper peninsula in the town of Curtis. She was proud of her home town. At a young age she worked at The Eat Shop in Curtis and it was there that she met a handsome young man by the name of Donald Rex Webb. On November 1, 1952, they married in Manistique, Michigan. From a young age Joyce had an affinity for horses that would turn into a life long passion. In her spare-time she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and cross stitching. She had a tremendous sense of humor and could light up a room with just her presence. Joyce loved to dance and had an abundant amount of energy. But first and foremost, she adored her children and grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 69 years, Donald; children: Donald Webb of Northville, Sandy (Wayne) Simpson of Charlotte, Sheryl (Jeff) Towe of Charlotte, Cindy Albrecht of Dimondale, Daryl Webb of Potterville, Randy (Helen) Webb of Manistee; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several great great-grandchildren; siblings: Jim (Norena) Anderson of Curtis, Judy Anderson of Manistee; Jack Anderson of Lansing, Steve Anderson of Perry; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Tom Anderson, Patricia Smith, Charlie Anderson; parents-in-law, Jesse and Louise Webb; and sister-in-law, Vi Webb Shope.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 2 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Laura Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Bret A. Barr


Bret Alan Barr, 55, formerly of Charlotte, passed away in North Charleston, South Carolina on June 18, 2021 from brain cancer.
Bret is survived by his soulmate, Angel Church Whitman, and her son Alex; father, Dale (Judy) Barr; mother, Betty Kundrat; sister, Deborah; brother, Dale (Debra) Barr, Jr.; step-brothers, Kermit Smith, Trent (Cheryl) Smith; aunt, Nancy (Bob) Walters; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly (Jack) Stults.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Bosworth Cemetery, 6737 Stine Road, Olivet. Following the service, lunch will be served at the Walton Township Hall adjacent to the cemetery.

Dale A. Ryckman


Dale A. Ryckman of Eaton Rapids passed away after a short illness, August 8, 2021, at the age of 66. Dale was born in Lansing, May 21, 1955, the son of Don and Carol Rohrer. He worked as a tradesman in the auto industry for several years. He was a very talented woodworker, loved children, spending time in the yard growing his favorite flowers, Petunias, decorating for Christmas and took very good care of his family.
Dale is survived by his parents; fiancé, Janice Kruzel of Eaton Rapids; daughters, Karen Ryckman, Elysha Kruzel both of Eaton Rapids; brothers, Tim (Michelle) Ryckman, Don (Char) Ryckman, Roger Ryckman; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Rex Rohrer; sister-in-law, Lisa Ryckman.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2021, at the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
