Jodi K. Rodebaugh
Jodi Kay Rodebaugh, a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and sister, of Lansing, died Friday, May 7, 2021. Jodi, 62, was born November 23, 1958, the daughter of Elzie and Virginia (Redfield) Hayes. She graduated from Olivet High School. In 1977 Jodi married the love of her life, Douglas Rodebaugh. She worked as a customer service representative for different businesses, however her pride and joy was being a grandmother. Jodi loved being with her grandchildren and attending their different events. She also liked making different arts and craft projects, collecting cow figurines and spending time with her Bloodhound Dee.
Jodi is survived by her children, Heather (Cheryl) Rodebaugh-Richards, Anthony (Trish) Rodebaugh, Doug (Amanda) Rodebaugh, Jr., and James (Shelby) Rodebaugh; and 10 grandchildren, Ashley Lord, Allison Reese, Emily Coddington, Katie Rodebaugh, Corinne Rodebaugh, Hayleigh Rodebaugh, Rachael Rodebaugh, Gavin Rodebaugh, Sadie Rodebaugh, and Myles Rodebaugh; siblings, Fred (Deb) Hayes, Denny (Roxy) Hayes, Randi Hayes. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas; brother, Jerry Hayes; and her parents.

Donna J. Halliwill
Donna Jean Halliwill, a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 8, 2021. Donna, 70, was born November 6, 1950, the daughter of Donald and Patricia (Weber) Woodhams Sr. She graduated from Waverly High School. In 1973 she married Edwin Halliwill. A favorite memory is when they started their family. She was very proud of her son and grandchildren. She was a caring, thoughtful person who was always trying to make others feel good. She was a member at First Baptist Church. She liked cooking, working out at AL!VE, improving things, buying and selling stuff, working in her flower gardens, spending time with her grandchildren, and shopping.
Donna is survived by her husband, Edwin Halliwill; son, Anthony (Nicole) Halliwill; grandchildren, Jack, Katie, and Grace, niece and nephew Tammy and Clarence Colter; and siblings, Donald (Pledas) Woodhams and Marjorie Ann Patterson. She was predeceased by her parents.

Phyllis J. McLeod
Phyllis Jane McLeod, age 94, died Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Fairview Adult Foster Care in Grand Ledge, MI. Phyllis was born October 11, 1926 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of John and Beulah (Kempter) Dever.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Elwood.
Phyllis is survived by her children: Scott (Kathy), Martha (Richard) Neilsen, Brian (Jean), and Kevin (Norma); grandchildren: Lindsay (Bill) Blair, Jennifer Wolff, Marci (Matt) McLeod Hicks, Matt (Karla) Neilsen, Jessica McLeod and Jerrilyn McLeod, and great-grandchildren: Brady Blair, Jordan Blair, Darin Blair, Adriyana Neilsen and Antonio Neilsen.
Phyllis met the love of her life while working as a switchboard operator at the VA hospital in Clinton, Iowa where her husband was sent to recover from his wounds suffered during WWII. After marrying they moved to Woodland, MI to start their life together. Phyllis started her work life once the children were old enough to start school. Phyllis first went to work at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility as the Diversional Activities Director. Later in her work life Phyllis was employed by the Michigan State Employees Association as an Administrative Assistant. Phyllis and her husband were avid golfers. Between the two of them Phyllis held the record for most hole-in-ones with five. In retirement, Phyllis and her husband enjoyed travelling to different parts of the USA and spending time in Florida during the winter months.
To honor Phyllis’ request there will be no funeral services. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.

David H. Hughes
It is with great sadness the family of David Humbert Hughes, 74 of Charlotte, Michigan, announce his passing. He was called home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
David was a highly respected leader in the road construction industry, an avid golfer, a mentor to many, a friend to all, and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Commitment to his beliefs and the work of the Lord at Our Savior Lutheran Church are things David will be remembered for, as well as his keen business sense, mastery with numbers, unmatched ability to make tough decisions, exceptional negotiation skills, analytical brilliance, quick wit, passion and generosity for helping feed and clothe those in need, hard work-ethic, and his golf score.
Winters in Florida were enjoyed by David and Cheryl. Watching their grandchildren excel in their passions of sports, music and dance brought them great joy. He also enjoyed cheering on the Michigan State Spartans, spending time with family, playing golf and basketball, reminiscing about the ‘old days’ in construction, cruising the highways looking at jobs, and staying in touch with friends, family and business associates.
David is survived by the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Cheryl (VanVolkenburg) Hughes; their sons, David S. (Kimberly) Hughes, Daniel W. (Laurie) Hughes, and Timothy S. (Maria) Hughes; grandchildren, David W. (Ashley) Hughes, Makaylin (Ryan) Rumsey, Crimmson, Dani, Daisey, Shelbi, and Andrew Hughes; great-grandchildren, Abigail Elizabeth, Jonah Boone and one more on the way; siblings, Joan Mountenay of Clearwater, FL and Charles Hughes of Ludington, MI; two uncles in Italy; and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, David William and Licia Olga Hughes; and brother, John Hughes.
Friends are encouraged to support David’s family at visitation on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 12-2:00 p.m. and 4-6:00 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 7910 E. St. Joseph Highway, Lansing, MI 48917. Mask, group capacity, and distancing guidelines will be practiced. Bonnie K. Turley
Bonnie Kay Turley, 71, of Charlotte, a woman of faith in Jesus Christ, went peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Bonnie was born August 2, 1949, in Charlotte, the daughter of Charles Allison and Mary Josephine (Roberts) Bracy. She graduated from Olivet High School in 1967 before completing her college education at the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music in 1970. In her early life, Bonnie worked several jobs, including banking, pharmacy, grocery, and key punch operator. Her true calling in life came when she met and married David Lee Turley, who worked at Owens Illinois in Charlotte. The two fell in love and married on October 19, 1974, and they faithfully attended Ainger Bible Church until 1985. David and Bonnie served several churches throughout Michigan side-by-side as Pastor and Pastor’s wife. Following David’s retirement in 2014, they moved back to Charlotte. Bonnie adored and cherished her children and grandchildren, devoting her life to the love and care of her family, and faith in her Lord Jesus Christ.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 46 years, David Turley; their children, Jesse (Stephanie) Turley, Rachel (Josh) Bell, and Charles (Courtney) Turley; grandchildren, Brycen and Jackson Turley, Noah, Sophia and Isaac Bell, Nayson Lasher, Leiland Wallace, and Wyatt and Alexander Turley; her sisters, Charlene (Richard) Kenney and Ruth (Clayton) Whipple; and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
