Sharron Christine (Bruce) Medlock


Sherry, 75 of Kalamazoo, Mich., formerly of Charlotte, Mich., passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 2, at Ely Manor Nursing Home in Allegan, Mich. after a courageous fifteen-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Sherry was born September 11, 1945 in Henderson, Nev. to Kenneth and Patricia (Bouska) Bruce. Sherry grew up in Charlotte and graduated from Charlotte High School in 1963. She attended Lansing Beauty School. She retired from Dr. David Fedewa, DDS, Dewitt, Mich.
Sherry will be remembered for her smile and always giving three kisses!
Sherry is proceeded in death by her parents, Kenneth & Patricia Bruce and her stepmother, Vera Bruce.
Sherry is survived by her husband Howard Medlock of Kalamazoo; brother Mike (Annette) Bruce of Charlotte; daughter Cara (Shane) Bailey of Springport; daughter Amy (Mark) McKibbin of Plainwell; son Josh (Lori) Batzloff of Kalamazoo; daughter Kate (Todd) Stanton of Potterville; son Steve (Sara) Medlock of Lansing; and cousin Patty (Ron) Norman of Potterville.
Sherry loved all of her grandchildren dearly, as they loved her. Corey (Autumn) Freeman of Eaton Rapids, Curtis (Erinn) Freeman of Eaton Rapids, Christine (John) Hackworth of Eaton Rapids, Elizabeth (Adam) Cripe of Dorr, Benjamen (Jade) Archer of Kentwood, Emily Batzloff, and Elijah Batzloff of Kalamazoo, as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Eaton Area Senior Center in Charlotte on Sunday, May 23 at 1 p.m. A light luncheon will be served.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Eaton Area Senior Center Vera Bruce Scholarship Fund and to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

David Ammon


David Ammon, age 77, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Savior Friday, April 30, 2021. He was born October 9, 1943, in Battle Creek the son of Lawrence and Bertha (Southworth) Sederlund. Dave graduated from Charlotte High School with the Class of 1961. Soon after graduating, Dave honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. On February 1, 1969, he married the love of his life, Donna Lee Randell in Bellingham, Wash. Dave was a soft-spoken man who had a heart for others. He cherished his family and loved being together. He enjoyed reading and traveling in his spare time. Dave was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for many years. He retired after nearly 40 years of service from Unisys.
Dave is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna; daughter-in-law, Betty (Aaron) Terbeck of Grand Rapids; grandchildren: David Ammon, Alan Ammon, Charlotte Ammon; sister, Martha (Ray) Lawrence; sister-in-law, Patsy (Gary) LaBree; brothers-in-law: Tim (Kathy) Randell, Joe (Joanie) Randell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons: Tim Ammon in 2001 and James Ammon in 2018; sister, Roberta Johnson; brother, Jon Sederlund; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jacob and June Randell.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Pete Kroll officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.

Virginia D. Parisano


Virginia “Ginny” DeHaven Parisano, 73, of Charlotte, died peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2021 in Holt. Virginia was born in Darby, Pa. on November 15, 1947, the daughter of Howard Robinson and Margaret Louise (Haynes) Hartman. She grew up in Upper Darby, Pa., where she graduated from Upper Darby High School before attending Philadelphia College of Arts and earning her associates degree. “Ginnyfish,” as she was affectionately known, lived a life full of artistic expression. She, like her father, created beautiful watercolor paintings and sketches, often done with crayons. She favored the color pink and loved Lucille Ball. In her later years, she was a grateful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Virginia is survived by her four children, Maria (Stuart Ratliff) Jackson, Jose (fiancé Jennifer Fopma) Ybarra, Juan Ybarra, and Angela Parisano; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence Hartman; and her healing companion, her cat, Dr. Boo. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Parisano; and her daughter, Amanda Smith.
A private family service will take place at a later date. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.

Gary Anderson


Gary Anderson, 63, of Charlotte, Mich., the kind of man who would do anything for a friend, but also a stubborn guy that liked to do things his way, died April 30, 2021. He was born in Charlotte on July 27, 1957 to Melvin and Dorothy (Lucas) Anderson and lived his entire life in the town. Gary worked at General Motors for 30 plus years before his retirement. Family meant everything to Gary, he enjoyed always making Christmas breakfast for his family. They remember lots of good times spent together as a family and will cherish the memories, including stories of his yard work in cut off jean shorts. Some of Gary’s favorite activities include bowling (he was on many different leagues over the years and was proud of his perfect 300 game), watching NASCAR, barbecuing, and playing games on his computer. He was previously a member of the Eagles Club in Charlotte and served as club secretary.
Gary is survived by his wife, Rhonda Anderson; children, Jennifer (Sam) Walters, Gary (Miranda) Anderson, and Trenton Anderson; nine grandchildren, Damon, Dakota, Hailey, Maci, Jacob, Isabelle, Arianna, Raylynn, and Lily; one great-grandson, Finley; his father, Melvin Anderson; siblings, Carl (Cathy) Anderson, Karen (Curt) Keck, and Brian (Vicky)Anderson; and his best friend, Doug Dickinson. He was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Anderson.

Wayne E. Miller


Wayne Eugene Miller, of Eaton Rapids, Mich. passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the age of 85. Wayne was born on May 29, 1935 in Laingsburg, Mich. the son of Doyt and Hattie (Emmerson) Miller. He graduated from Eaton Rapids High School class of 1954 and went on to work as a meat pack and butcher at Feldpausch, and worked as a supervisor for Michigan Packaging retiring in 1998. Wayne was a member of the Abies bowling league and an avid golfer. He spent 20 years of retirement in Clearwater, Fla. where he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Palm Harbor, Fla. Wayne loved to travel, he visited all 50 states along with Ireland and numerous cruises over his lifetime. Wayne was a thrill seeker who enjoyed rollercoasters, trip to Cedar Point and was an avid MSU athletics fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Evelyn Acheson, Rose Cantine, Mary Snyder; and brother, Clarence Miller.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Vickie Miller; children, Terri (Larry) Markwart, Tracey (Dawn) Miller, Debbie (Dan) Kares, Julie (Charlie) Hicks; step-children, Pamela Colestock, John (Colleen) Colestock, David (Lois) Colestock, Joseph Colestock; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Donna) Miller; sister, Harriett Orr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
