Richard Lowe, Sr.
Richard “Duane” Lowe, Sr., age 83, of Vermontville died peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in Charlotte. Duane was born December 10, 1936 in Lansing, the son of Albert and Evelyn (Porter) Lowe. Duane made a career at General Motors working as a machine repairman, retiring in 1979. He enjoyed horse pulling and country western music. Duane is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia May Lowe; sons, Richard Duane “Bud” Lowe, Jr. and Patrick Dean “Charlie” Lowe; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Lee Lowe; sisters, Vivian Jean Schultz and Connie Kay Garrison; and several nieces and nephews. Joann L. Sebolt
Joann Louise Sebolt, age 80 of Charlotte, a woman with strong grace, love and patience, died Wednesday, July, 8, 2020. Joann was born October 29, 1939, in Charlotte, MI, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Maxson) Hamilton. On October 5, 1957 at the age of 17, Joann married Almon Sebolt and together created their legacy of 62 years together. She devoted her life to helping others. Joann owned and operated the Lone Pine Adult Foster Care in Charlotte. She did not treat it like a job, Joann treated the residences like they were her own family members. She was very strong in her faith, she was a leader of a Women’s Ministry. When Joann was not working she enjoyed making body puppets, cooking, gardening, going on car rides and being with her family. Above all Joann will be remembered by others for being an amazing woman with such a loving heart.
Joann is survived by her husband, Almon; children, Almon Sebolt III, Franklin Sebolt, Lou A. Sobleskey, Jerome Sebolt; grandchildren, Virginia Sebolt, Rosalynn Sebolt, Courtney Sobleskey, Blair Sobleskey, and Ryan Sobleskey; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Kailie, Elysia, Ellia, and Abbey. She was predeceased by her grandson, Lance Sobleskey; and her parents
Friends are encouraged to support Joann’s family. Memorial services are Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Fred McGlone officiating. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service from 2-4:00 p.m. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Dementia and Alzheimer’s Association. Daniel C. Witt
Daniel C. Witt, age 59, passed away at Sparrow Hospital on Saturday, June 20, 2020. He was born on April 2, 1961 the son of Cari and Dorothy (VanElls) Witt. Daniel graduated from St. Johns High School in 1979 and worked in construction.
He is survived by his fiancé, Jan Powers (Witt); son, Kory (Melissa) Witt; grandchildren, Kaila, Karii, Kayden and Kyra; mother Dorothy Witt; and siblings, Diane Witt, Terry (Joanie) Witt, David (Sally) Witt and Debra (Gordon) Carman.
He was preceded in death by his father Cari in 2019. At his request there will be no services and donations are suggested to the family for expenses. Mail to Diane Witt, 9753 W. Lehmann Rd., DeWitt Ml 48820.

Christopher A. Whitmore
Christopher Alan Whitmore, age 31, of Potterville, a gentle and caring soul, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 3, 2020. Chris was born November 9, 1988 in Lansing, the son of Orval O. and Robin K. (Mannor) Whitmore. Growing up, Chris was known as the “baby of Potterville,” as he loved to socialize with his parents’ many friends and colleagues around town. He was beloved by his teachers, and at an early age demonstrated great intelligence, especially with computers. Following school, he was blessed with a daughter, MaKayla Whitmore, whom always was number one in his heart. He will be missed by a large host of friends, and forever loved by his family.
Chris is survived by his daughter, MaKayla; parents, Orval and Robin Whitmore; brothers, Robert C. Guy, Billy Jo (Kelly) Guy, and Keith R. (fiancé Shelby Morey) Whitmore; nephews, Kaine Buletza and Ezekiel Whitmore; niece, Kaylani Guy; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Bernard and Betty Whitmore, and Robert and Marilyn Mannor; uncle, Timothy Mannor; and cousin, Jennifer Whitmore.

Donald A. Karn
Donald Alan Karn, age 57 of Hastings, a man who loved deeply in his own way, died unexpectedly June 27, 2020. Born in Lansing on September 16, 1962 to Wayne and Anna Mae (Jansen) Karn, Don grew up in Charlotte and graduated from Charlotte High School in 1980. He was a man that always completed what he started and was always there for his kids. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting deer (which gave him meat for his famous venison jerky) and fishing for salmon on Lake Michigan. He was also a handyman, learning as early as his junior high school days that he could fix anything. Don also enjoyed camping excursions with his family as he was growing up, NASCAR races with his kids, cooking and baking and his church, Nashville Baptist.
Don is survived by his daughter, Lindsay (Bradley) Horton; sons, Nathan Karn, Nicholas Karn, and Matthew Karn; parents, Wayne and Anna Mae Karn; siblings, Ken (Tammy) Karn, Jerry (Julia) Karn, Ryan (Lana) Karn; and his former wife, Melissa Karn. He was predeceased by his grandparents, George and Caroline Karn, and Peter and Wilma Jansen.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 6, 2020 at the Pray Funeral Home Garden, in Charlotte, with Pastor Lester DeGroot officiating. Friends and family are encouraged to share memories of Donald on his tribute page at prayfuneral.com. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
