No matter the situation you are facing, Evelyn Calogero is the person you want on your side. With over 25 years of experience in law, Calogero is known to be “relentless, resourceful, reasonable, and reliable,” as her slogan says. Her office is located at 205 North Main Street in downtown Olivet.

Originally from Philadelphia, Calogero graduated from Temple University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She also attended the police academy at Temple. After attending Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, she decided to stay in the area.

Calogero has had a wide variety of jobs and experiences within the criminal justice system, providing invaluable experience. Her work as a judicial law clerk for the Michigan Supreme Court helped hone her research and writing skills. She was an appellate attorney for ten years. She was the Chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan’s Appellate Practice Section.

Before attending law school, Calogero worked at a 911 Dispatch Center and as an intake counselor in the Florida Juvenile Justice System. There she investigated child abuse and neglect and counseled families when their child was accused of a crime. She also held the position of director for a shelter and counseling center in Naples, Florida, for runaway youth and their families.

Calogero has been admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court. To achieve this accomplishment, one must be in good standing with the state bar and be recommended by two other attorneys who have achieved that status. It is a lifetime appointment. She has also received the same privileges by the Michigan Court of Appeals, the Michigan Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, and in the Federal District Courts.

She routinely represents families involved in Michigan’s child protection, foster care, and adoption system and was the Chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan’s Children’s Law Section.

Why should you choose Evelyn Calogero as your attorney or counselor? She is able to keep a cool head in heated situations from years of training and experience. She is skilled at maintaining civilized discussions and arguments in courtrooms and conference rooms, which usually results in more progress being made than when the situation is hostile and heated.
