Clean Up with SERVPRO

When you have a problem in your home or business due to fire, water, or mold, it’s good to know there are professionals available 24 hours a day to help. SERVPRO, with its main office in Charlotte, serves Eaton, Clinton, and Gratiot counties, including Lansing and Holt, and is there to help you clean up the situation thoroughly and promptly.

SERVPRO services include fire, smoke and soot clean up, water removal and dehumidification, catastrophic storm response, document drying, cleaning air ducts and HVAC, biohazard remediation, crime scene and vandalism cleanup, and much more. SERVPRO accepts all insurance.

“We have the resources to handle just about anything,” Josh Ingersoll, the new owner of SERVPRO, said. “We are known as a general resource when a situation comes up that requires some thinking outside the box.” His staff, he explained, are trained to handle all kinds of emergency situations with minimal disruption to the family or business so that they can quickly return to their normal life.

“When people are in a traumatic situation with their home or business and emotions are running high,” Ingersoll said, “we want them to realize that there is someone who knows what to do, who can help them out. SERVPRO is good at making things right,” he added.

Ingersoll also owns SERVPRO offices in Flint and Port Huron. He purchased the Charlotte business in November 2021 from the previous owner, Terry Kelly, who owned the company for 20 years. Kelly is still employed at SERVPRO but is “easing” his way out of the business into retirement. All the SERVPRO employees stayed on for the transition between owners.

“We’re really excited to get involved in the community,” said Ingersoll. “We want to make an impact beyond our SERVPRO restorative services to the community.” SERVPRO has a history of being involved in many community projects, including the Christmas Kiddies toy drive sponsored by the Charlotte Fire Department.

“We’ve also done a lot of big commercial jobs,” Ingersoll said. “Recently we handled the clean-up for the Genesee County Courthouse that had a fire last fall. We can handle the big jobs, but 90% of what we do is in homes.”

“With the business growing, we are looking for more people to join our team,” Ingersoll said. “We would like to hire about ten more people to become part of the SERVPRO staff.” Training is provided.
