Charlotte Brewing Company open for business

For the past year, Eaton Pub & Grille has rolled out an assortment of its own, in-house brewed beers. They’ve spent that time perfecting recipes and noting customer favorites. With a year under their belt, the owners decided it was time to enhance their brand and help spread the word that Charlotte did, in fact, have its own brew pub – hence the birth of the Charlotte Brewing Company.
“We wanted people to know that we were a brewery also,” said manager Terry Davis. “The name helps it stick out more and separates it a bit from the restaurant.”
Eaton Pub & Grille features at least 10 Charlotte Brewing Company beers on tap at any one time. Currently there are 12 on tap, including the anniversary, One Year Beer. Davis said customer favorites, Crazy Woman Creek IPA, Strawberry Pail, Black Bear Stout, Red Eye and Davis Double IPA are Charlotte Brewing Company staples that will always be on tap. The other five taps will rotate with seasonal selections and new recipes.
“We’ll offer some lighter selections for spring and summer,” Davis said.
Davis said he’s excited to roll out a Bourbon Ale in mid-April.
“It’s aged four months in a bourbon barrel,” Davis said. “We’ve had a lot of customers asking for it. We’re always working on new ideas and new recipes.”
Davis said he is also working on several new IPA recipes, which seem to be some of the most popular selections for Eaton Pub & Grille customers. With 20 beers on tap, Eaton Pub & Grille offers a selection that would please even the most discerning palate. Customers can purchase their favorite brew while enjoying a selection from the full lunch or dinner menu, or grab a growler (64 ounces) of their favorite brew to go. The Charlotte Brewing Company also offers a Mug Club for patrons who wish to purchase their own mug to hang above the Eaton Pub & Grille bar. Being a part of the Mug Club opens participants up to special offers and advance access to new brews.
“The brewery has exceeded my expectations by any estimate,” Davis said. “It’s fun coming up with recipes that are good and get great feedback from our customers. We’ve received 99 percent positive feedback on everything.”
