CharlotteRising is encouraging everyone interested in the continued rejuvenation of downtown Charlotte to attend a Community Reunion next week, August 24, at the historic Beach Market. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m.
CharlotteRising was formed 5 years ago as downtown Charlotte’s Michigan Main Street organization. Since that time, it has championed the redevelopment of the city’s downtown commercial district through active volunteerism, practical public/private partnerships, strategic grant-seeking, generous grand-making, and a host of big and small revitalization activities.
After a whirlwind first three years, CharlotteRising spent the next two years working to connect Charlotte businesses to Covid relief resources, making sure that no stone was left unturned and no opportunity left unexplored. In the end, downtown Charlotte emerged as strong as ever.
Now is the time to put that behind us, and help downtown Charlotte take the next steps toward a bright and vibrant future.
More than anything else, Downtown Charlotte is a place for the community to come together – whether it’s to do business, socialize, wine & dine, or take in a movie or concert. Next week Wednesday, CharlotteRising invites the community to attend a reunion. To come together for a common purpose, to help plan our shared future. The next five years of CharlotteRising is starting now.
Meet new Executive Director Annie Williams. Meet new CharlotteRising board members. Learn about opportunities to get involved in projects you’re passionate about. Share your own ideas. Bring a friend or neighbor, and help downtown Charlotte rise to the next level of success.
