New owners have revamped the former China Buffet into a fast-food style Chinese restaurant. But don’t let the style fool you: the food is fast, but it is cooked fresh to each order with quality ingredients and with generous portions. They have a menu that features over 180 food items. China One also offers party tray items, perfect for your next large gathering. Party tray orders should be placed two hours in advance to ensure availability for your event.
There are four ways to place an order: online with payment made inside China One when you pick up the order, over the phone at (517) 836-2159, via fax at (517)836-2162, or in person. Once an order is placed, it takes about 20 minutes to be available for pick up or dine in. China One accepts cash, Visa, Master Card, and Discover. They are open six days a week, Monday through Saturday, closed on Sunday. Lunch menu pricing is available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The dinner menu is available all day from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
If ordering in person, a large menu is printed on the wall. Each item is identified by number. When you reach the cashier, simply provide the number of your menu item and select a bottled or canned beverage from the cooler. Once your order is rung up, you can wait in the table area or in your vehicle while it is being prepared. A condiment table with single use cutlery is next to the cashier. Similar to other fast-food restaurants, customers seat themselves and clear their own table as wait service is not provided.
Menu categories include appetizers, soups, fried rice, sweet & sour, chow mein, chop suey, lo mein, chow mei fun, pork, chicken, beef, seafood, vegetables, diet menu, chef’s specialties, lunch specials and dinner combination plates.
