New choices are coming to Charlotte. Diners will soon have the ability to choose Culver’s for their eating experiences when the new restaurant opens later this year. On Jan. 2, the establishment’s new owners gathered with members of the construction crew and representatives from the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the ground breaking.
The new eatery will be erected on the former site of the Davis Auto Mart on Lansing Rd. It will feature the signature ButterBurgers and cheese curds the franchise is famous for offering. It was the food and the business model behind the burgers that enticed Matthew and Kara Amero to purchase their own part of the franchise.
“Ever since we had moved to Wisconsin, we just loved eating at the restaurant,” explained Matthew Amero.
Their neighbor owned one of the restaurants, and his glowing review helped the Ameros decide to take the plunge into entrepreneurship.
When deciding on a location, moving back to Michigan and closer to family seemed the natural choice. When the couple discovered Charlotte, they knew the perfect location had been found.
“Charlotte is almost exactly like where we are now,” explained Kara Amero. “We love it here.
“It’s a rural setting but not too far away from larger cities. Charlotte hits the nail on the head.”
The project is slated to be completed towards the beginning of June, and Matthew Amero is certain the project will be one of quality. He said he had the utmost confidence in the crew at McCon Building Corporation, who are heading up the project.
“They have a ton of experience building these, so it should go pretty quickly,” he said.
