The August Primary election was a great day for Eaton County voters and another successful election is in the books, according to Eaton County Clerk and Register of Deeds Diana Bosworth.
Bosworth noted that the total voter turnout was 36.60% which is nearly double the average August Primary turnout in Eaton County. She also stated that the number of Eaton County absentee ballots cast represents over 68% of the total voter turnout and that 9,065 ballots were safely cast in person at the polls.
“I would like to send a huge thank you to our incredible team of local jurisdiction clerks and election workers who ensure the integrity and continuity of the democratic process – they are heroes! And they have once again proven that our elections can be conducted safely and securely even in uncertain times.”
Unofficial results are available on the County website at eatoncounty.org. The results will be made official following certification by the Eaton County Board of Canvassers.
