Lions Club International is the world’s largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million caring men and women serving together in approximately 48,000 clubs around the world. Following the Lions International motto, “We Serve,” the Olivet Lions Club recently helped an area resident by installing a wheelchair ramp. In the past several years, the club has installed and maintained a number of wheelchair ramps, provided eye examinations and glasses, helped those who needed hearing aids get tested, supported the Olivet Good Neighbor Pantry Program, and helped with several other community needs. The club meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Lamplighter Restaurant in Olivet.
