Women Working Wonders (WWW) of Eaton Rapids is a charitable giving organization established in 2011 by a core group of five residents with hearts for supporting local charities. In the twelve years since its inception, over $234,700 has been awarded to area agencies to assist with the good work they do in the community.
Challenges associated with COVID in early 2020 afforded WWW the unique opportunity to transition from a dinner meeting venue to an online-only format for accepting applications from local organizations, presenting proposals, tracking member voting and awarding funds. Giving continued throughout the pandemic with individual members donating $100 per quarter to the organization that won their vote.
This year three organizations presented letters of need for consideration in March, and two more applied in June. The Eaton Rapids Choral Boosters and Good Shepherd’s Love, respectively, were awarded funds to help supply much needed equipment and goods for students and families.
