Women Working Wonders has continued its role in recent months by making contributions to support good work being done in Eaton Rapids by and for this community.

In September, the group chose Cinderella’s Closet to receive combined donations of approximately $6,000.

Through donations of new and gently used formal dresses and accessories, Cinderella’s Closet is able to “Turn Dresses Into Dreams” for high school juniors and seniors who could not otherwise afford to attend prom and other formal events at the high school. Even more than a dress, Cinderella’s Closet provides a beautiful experience for these young women in an environment of grace, love and respect.  Cinderella’s Closet operates out of First United Methodist Church of Eaton Rapids. Their goal is to make every girl feel like the Belle of the Ball regardless of their family income or living situation.

In December, Women Working Wonders again donated approximately $6,000 to support Eaton Rapids youth. The Eaton Rapids Community Alliance Teen Center is opening its doors in the former Union Street school building. This has been the dream and labor of many members of the Eaton Rapids community, both young and mature. Women Working Wonders will be following the progress of this effort with great interest and are happy to be on the ground floor of supporting it financially.

The group’s next meeting will be in March, 2018.  Joining Women Working Wonders of Eaton Rapids is a great way to help our community prosper and to have a front seat to the good work being done here. New members are always welcomed.

Please call Nancy Pople at (517) 285-2732 if you are interested in joining. The commitment made by members is to attend quarterly meetings and donate $100 to the charity chosen by the majority of members each quarter.
