Jennifer Davis at a very young age has always wanted to live in a bookstore. She spoke of it often and as they say if you put it out there it will come. Even though Jennifer was not living in a bookstore she became a published author. However, her dream never stopped, and she even had the design of what it would look like, dark academia was her vision of her bookstore, with deep, dark rich colors for the walls and upholstery and furniture with velvet to bring out that cozy inviting atmosphere. Elegant, aged chandeliers to add the glam and shelves of books everywhere your eyes would take you adding pops of color. Oh, and her dream would also have a room for yoga classes in the store as well.

Dreams do come true, January 2024 with the encouragement of Amanda Jennifer purchased the perfect building for her bookstore and her dream became a reality. With the first weekend of February, with the help of friends and family the fun demo days were here. Completely gutting the building. In Jennifer’s own words she felt after that weekend, anything and everything that could put a roadblock in front of her happened and this is where she learned to never quit, never give up.

With great support from the community and local businesses Jennifer opened her doors to The Cozy Corner Bookstore in July 2024. As you come through the entrance you can clearly see Jennifer’s years of dreams put together. Not only does she have her yoga room, but she also has a Kids corner where she can have guest come in and have Story hours with the children and get them more involved with books. She offers a section for local Michigan authors and local artwork including Mad Five O Photography and As the Wood Turns. The Cozy Corner Bookstore offers games, puzzles. You are invited to stop in and have a truly relaxing visit Tuesday through Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am-1pm. Come on in and introduce yourself to Jennifer, purchase a hot cup of coffee or tea and some local made candies as you spend countless hours perusing New and used books.
