A familiar struggle for the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce has been consistently conveying the value of one of its memberships. Taking that challenge head on, the Chamber has been proactive in its outreach to former, current and prospective members.
Part of that outreach connected the Chamber with the LOCALS in Business organization in Charlotte last fall. That connection in turn has created a partnership in an exciting new opportunity for Charlotte-area businesses — the inaugural Eaton County Home & Business Expo.
“LOCALS in Business and the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce are working together to provide a venue and opportunity for local business owners to showcase their business,” said Jeana Rohrs, Chamber of Commerce board member. “It is an opportunity to meet new and potential clients and to visit with current clients.”
The Expo will take place at Charlotte High School, Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 and Rohrs said booth space is filling up fast. Area businesses can reserve a 10-by-10-foot space by contacting the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce at (517) 543-0400 or charlottechamberofcommerce@gmail.com. Discounts are offered to current Chamber members.
“It’s so exciting to be doing an event of this capacity in Charlotte,” said Grace Boehmer, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “This business expo will enhance businesses people are already familiar with, but also has the ability to enhance a lot of businesses that don’t have a ‘store front’ that still do business locally, like service jobs, etc. This will be a great opportunity for the community to learn about all the great businesses in the area in one place.”
In addition to local businesses, the Home & Business Expo will provide space for local non-profit organizations.
