It’s time to round up the family and head out to Charlotte Frontier Days. There is fun for the whole family. This year’s Grand Parade will be held on Saturday Sept. 12 at 10:30 a.m. In anticipation, you will see spectators reserving their spots, by setting up their chairs, as early as Friday evening.
This year, the parade is being sponsored by Team One Chevrolet.
During the parade you will enjoy a variety of entries including floats, riders on horseback, high school bands and clowns. The Eaton County and Battle Creek Shriners Club are always entertaining as they make their way driving their vehicles down the parade route. You will also see fire trucks, old tractors, antique cars, and much, much more.
Each year we have a float contest for the parade participants and will announce the winners of the contest during the parade. The 2015 Frontier Days King, Queen, Prince and Princess will travel in mule- drawn wagons and a special car will carry the Grand Marshal.
This year we are honored to introduce Doretta Malerba-Cathcart as our Grand Marshal. Doretta was on the Frontier Days Board for several years, including three years as General Chair. Doretta has also been involved with such organizations as Relay for Life. It is in recognition of her many contributions that she was selected to be this year’s Grand Marshal.
Frontier Days is a celebration of Charlotte as a community.
The Frontier Days Board would like to thank everyone who helps to put this festival together. A special thank you goes out to the Charlotte Police Department, Fire Department, Eaton Country Sheriff’s Office and MDOT for all they do to make our festival successful.
Charlotte Frontier Days is a weekend of fun, food, and family entertainment. Hope to see you all there.
